The obesity epidemic is an on-going and ever-growing issue, as more than 35 percent of people in the United States are obese and overweight. At the grocery store, when something says “zero fat”, it is likely that it contains tons of sugar in it. People used to think the fat was worse than sugar, and although they are both bad for you, the real culprit in this debate is sugar. Sugar is everywhere, there is simply no way to avoid it. Although sugar cannot be completely eliminated, the consumption of it can be lowered.
